The first evening of the summer showjumping series got underway on Friday 26th June. It was a beautiful sunny evening and 15 riders turned out to compete.
We had two mother and daughter combinations riding; Deya and Tanya, and Anna and Kate. Anna looked particularly smart on the very tiny and very cute Charlie! However, it was Hollie Hodges on Smartie who won the rosette for best turned out.
After good clear rounds the competition got going just after 7pm with the placing rounds. In the cross poles class it was Pauline Kearney on Roo who took first, with Jacqui King on Kells in Second and Deya Thomson on Tubby taking third.
In the second round it was James Bullard riding Merlin, followed by Vikki Fitch on Eddie with Eleanor Moss on Mr Darcy in third.
The 2’6″ class was won by Tally Walling-Scott on Penelope and Emily Pattison on Dillon.
