Twenty Pony Club members turned out on Friday 3rd April for the second of this years’ Pony Club Competitions. The morning saw everyone grooming and preparing their ponies and it was Hannah West who took the under 12 ‘Best Turned Out’ prize with Pablo looking particularly sharp. The winner of ‘Best Turned Out’ for the over 12’s was Sarah Boote on Bert.
Once all the ponies were looking smart and ready the competitors took to the arena for the dressage part of the competition, and although there was a bit of light rain, spirits were good and the level of the competition was really high. After lunch the sun made an appearance for the showjumping part of the competition.
The 20 competitors were split into 4 classes: Class 1 was won by Isabel Wiles with Anna Medina taking 2nd. Class 2 was won by Isabel Medina, with James Bullard taking 2nd. Sarah Boote was not only best turned out, but also winner of Class 3, just beating Dylan King to the top spot. In Class 4 it was Hollie Hodges who took the winning spot from Hannah West in 2nd.
