This superb looking, large quality Irish horse is a striking dark brown colour with four white socks.
Eye catching due to his calm and noble presence, he has been with the same owner who backed him as a three-year old, until we bought him at age eleven due to the owner’s failing health. King has done a lot of hunting and shows, clearly having seen a lot of life as nothing seems to bother his unflappable temperament. His brother was the supreme heavyweight hunter at the Royal Dublin Show and looking at King you can see why.
With his excellent conformation and fluid movement for such a big horse, surprisingly he does not feel large to ride, being so light on his feet and athletic over a fence.
A rare find: quality with substance, athleticism whilst also up to weight, with a calm and sensible head on him.
