Description
Join Sally Spaarkogel for a set of 4-5 weekly clinics. Learn the basics of horse and pony care with this fun British Horse Society Certified course and earn your certificate at the final clinic by attending the exam (optional!).
Each clinic will last 1.5 hours and will be on the following days at 3.30pm:
Wednesday 7th Nov – Learn the principles of health, safety and welfare when handling and riding a horse. Learn why and how to groom horses and learn how to care for their feet.
Wednesday 14th Nov – Understand the basic care requirements for a horse and learn how to measure a horse.
Wednesday 28th Nov – Learn the requirements for keeping a horse in a stabled environment and know the tack required for a horse.
Wednesday 5th Dec – Be able to identify colours, markings and breeds/types of horses. Know where to seek advice regarding horse care.
Wednesday 12th Dec – exam (optional)
